I have been happily married for 39 years. I have
received professional training in:
- PAIRS®
(Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills) which I believe
provides
the clearest and most practical tools for learning essential
communication skills. Materials developed by Lori Gordon,
PhD. Local teacher and mentor, Robin Temple, MSW. 2005-current.
- Hot
Monogamy™ which is a course in Certified Love Education™ as
developed by Pat Love, EdD, and her daughter Kim McFadden. This
approach includes information based on recent research on the
chemistry, physiology, and emotional development of sexuality, love,
passion, and intimacy. 2007
- Couplehood
as a Spiritual Path, developed and taught by Harville Hendrix,
PhD, and his
wife Helen LaKelly Hunt, PhD, 2007. This material is a course in
Imago Education. The approach includes exploring the IMAGO or
unconscious image of the ideal partner. "The spiritual path of
healing in couplehood has a unique aspect that other spiritual paths
(solitary, community, and service) do not have: it provides an
